Whom u choose - friends or ur study group?????????

well first lesson what I learnt in a b-school was not from kotler, porter, aaker , was not thought by any professor at insti , was not related to marketing, finance or operations....................

the very first lesson of my b-school life was that " U can never make good friends here"........

firstly I thought that it wont be true but later as the rollercoster ride of MBA journey started off than day by day it got clear that people are here to ready to even kill u for there own mean and there benefits.

Since the day I know my self , since the day I make decision's for me I always prefer my friends over anything, whether it is marks, exams or even CGPA nowdays. I helped them whenever they wanted and whatever they wanted me to do, whether its is ethical or not , whether it right or wrong, whether it is legal or illigal , i never step back from helping my friends.......................

But I did just one mistake i never told them how much they mean to mee , how much importance they carry in my life , coz my philosphi in life is that friends is the biggest asset you can got , friends is the biggest earning andbody can earn throughout his life , coz when he will someone to talk he cannt talk to money he had earned , whenever he will cry his money can never console him nor the money can stop the tears falling from his eyes only a friend can do it........................

mba can make a person money making machine but can never teach money it not something what u need in your life , mba can produce gr8 HR manegers but can never make good human beings, why still the values of truth, friendship, inegretyand harmony are tought only in books but not inculcated in people.

well i dont knw that whether iam doing it right or wrong but still i do prefer friends over anything else but i dont know when they gonna grow up they are still who prefer to be first in class or in insti , they still want thier group to be dumb ass magoo type of people rather than those who talk practicle funda's of life, they still prefer those people who know all the formulas of statistic's but not those who know the markets, people in mba still have a missconception that people with higher CGPA can do the magic , people with higher CGPA can turn the world around ....

but for this i have story i personally know one person with CGPA of 3.31 out of 4 topper of his college in one of the top ten bschools in country, appeared in 15 interview's for final placement's but he made a record , he was rejected by all of companies he applied for ..............

so the moral of the story is its not the CGPA or marks which get u the job u always wanted, its not all about the studies, its all about ur attitude and what all u wanted to do in your life, and the people who would be most happy when u get any sucess in ur life would be ur friends only no body else.....

so frnds just listen wat ur frnds want to say u , and most important do let them want they wanted to say coz " if u cannot understand ur friends silence u can never understand thier words"....................................

now its ur own wish to choose ur study group's maggu type of people or ur own real friends who was there all the time when u needed them . So earn the real assets , real pearls , real diamonds which means friends ............................

  • Hey Sumit,

Nice post there. But *practically* speaking, how many *friends* remember the help one has done to them? well, one may argue that help should be done without any ulterior motives, but still...........
I agree with you on the fact that attitude comes ahead of anything and everything. End of the day if a person can face the man in the mirror even when one is degraded by everyone around, it can prove one's attitude. My two cents... :)

  • Can't remember anything other than the age old adage:

    "Neki Kar Dariya Mein Daal"

  • good one dude...
cgpa hardly matters... one shud know the reason for joining before entering a b school...
moreover, attitude's gonna last a life time...

    way to go...
